Welcome back to the Family Preparedness Guide!
Preparedness Rules of Three #17 –– Make a family preparedness plan. Just do it!
If you need any reasons for making a plan for the care and protection of your family, you’re on the wrong blog! Or, you’ve just come back from another planet!
Before you start a family preparedness plan, take the time to determine why you’re going to implement a family preparedness plan.
What are your motivation(s) and desire(s)? One you’ve determined the why, then you’re ready for the how.
Here are some guidelines for determining your plan for your family’s preparedness:
- 1. Set the parameters for your family preparedness plan with meaningful and challenging goals.
You can’t achieve vast goals with half-vast ideas! Part of the goal should include the answers to the following questions:
· A. when it will be accomplished?
· B. What it will include?
· C. How you will pay for it?
· D. Who does what to make it come together?
And, not the least consideration,
· E. Where do we put all that stuff?
- 2. Establish a practical and affordable plan.
Make sure you have periodic checkups and checkpoints to assure you’re on plan. Keep your enthusiasm on fire by setting interim goals––based on time, paydays, etc. that are attainable. Meeting the deadlines on smaller goals creates intense belief that you will be able to finish!
- 3. Keep on keeping on!
You must either already have or develop iron-willed determination if you truly want to achieve your goal. Your attitude must be that you will continue, regardless of what others say, think, or do.
What you can visually imagine, ardently desire, and act upon enthusiastically must ultimately come to pass!
Let it begin––this is a life-changing decision and will require a lifestyle change!
I’ll reveal my goals for our family preparedness planning on the next blog.
Till next time…
